Anthony "Tony" Marshall's Obituary
Anthony “Tony” Marshall, 67, of Tacoma WA, passed away on January 5th 2016 in Tacoma WA. A gathering will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home main office in Lakewood WA between 1-4PM on January 14.
Tony was born and raised in Boston, MA joining the US Coast Guard after High school. While in the USCG Tony met his wife Diane, Crossed the Northwest Passage aboard the icebreaker Staten Island and sailed a few missions on the Cutter Storis. After the Coast Guard Tony settled in Tacoma to start his new family and build many friendships. Tony continued his career on boats working on Hovercrafts, Tugs, and Military vessels to name a few on Tacoma’s tide flats and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as an Electrician for IBEW 76. From shipbuilding and repair Tony took his talents to the USPS Bulk Mail Center in Federal Way where he retired as a maintenance supervisor. Tony spent a lot of time on the Puget Sound enjoying fishing, sailing and cruising the waters he knew so well.
Tony is survived by his sons Eddie and Brian; granddaughters Haileigh and Diane; and great-granddaughters Haidyn and Elci.
Tony is preceded in death by his wife Diane; parents Anthony and Mary; and brother Robert.
