Anthony Bernardo's Obituary
Anthony Bernardo, Tony was born April 23, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York. He passed away on March 27, 2013 in his home which he and his son Louis built in University Place.
After serving in the Army he married the love of his life, Betty Jo, and moved to Tacoma in 1949 where he made a living as a bricklayer. He claimed to have built half of Tacoma and took so much pride in his work Tony and Betty Jo raised two children, Maryann White (Larry), and son and working partner Louis Bernardo (Lorraine). Tony took much pride in his three grandsons, Max White (Jennifer), Tony, and Louis Bernardo. He adored his three great-grandchildren, Brooke and Cole White, and Aidan Anthony Bernardo.
Betty Jo passed away in 1981, and in the years following he met his present and devoted wife Sheryl. Tony enjoyed being a part of the Christopher Columbus Society, was an officer of the Amvets Post 5, and was a lifetime member of the Bricklayer's Union. We will love and miss you always.
