Annie Thierbach (Marker)
4/18/24 - 9/4/2016
Annie was born in Skien, Norway and immigrated to America 68 years ago. In Tacoma she met her future husband Karl who was stationed at Fort Lewis. Army life eventually took them to Kentucky, where Karl was discharged from the Army and they moved back to Tacoma where they raised two sons.
After working as a bookkeeper for two years at a local accounting firm, Annie joined Karl working at the family business for 28 years before retiring.
Annie left us suddenly and peacefully on September 4th, with her family by her side.
She was preceded in death by her dear son Kurt, her parents and a sister. Left mourning is her loving husband of 62 years, Karl; her son Karl (Dorothea); three grandsons Michael (Debi), Sean and Dylan; and two great grandchildren Ethan and Mila. Annie is also survived by two brothers, one sister and several nieces and nephews, all in Norway.
There will be a service at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood, WA on September 15th at 2:00pm in the Garden Chapel, followed by a graveside service and a reception in the Oak Room at the Celebration of Life Center.
