Annie Shoemaker 's Obituary
Annie Shoemaker, born 28 December 1912 to Charles Cecil Osborne and Annie Shilton Osborne on a homestead farm near Wiggins Colorado. She graduated from Wiggins High School in May of 1930, married Ralph Raymond Shoemaker, moved to Idaho and then on to Washington State. She raised four children, Ralph Richard, Annie Elaine (Fruetel), Nancy Lou (Wiersema), and Patricia Jean (Hoff). She is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was active in support of the Lakeview Congregational Church until moving from the area late in life. She then attended the Little Church on the Prairie in Lakewood and volunteered at the food bank well into her nineties. She had a passion for anything with threads and needles, but most of all quilting.
Annie enjoyed a very healthy long lived life; she passed away quietly on her 101st birthday.
She was preceded in death by husband Ralph, son Richard, and daughter Patricia.
She will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery on Monday 6 January 2014 at 11:30am with a brief viewing beginning 10:30am; no formal services will be conducted. The family asks in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the Franciscan Hospice located at 2901 Bridgeport Way W. University Place, WA 98466.
