Anne Maria Jones' Obituary
Anne Maria Jones (Smith), aka "Annie Banannie"
Born: June 19, 1954 in Fulda, Germany
Anne graciously and comfortably accepted the call to be with her Lord on December 10, 2014 after a sudden illness and short stay in the hospital.
Anne came to the United States from Germany as a Registered Nurse when she was a young adult in her twenties. Her US citizenship meant the world to her. She quickly knew she wanted to continue her education in Nursing. Anne spent over 30 years as a RN at Western State Hospital. She loved her patients and her coworkers, but what speaks to her character more than anything is how much they all loved and respected her.
Anne's friends were her family. She felt blessed and so grateful for each and every one of them and she was so happy to have been able to share her last days with so many. With her only biological family back in Germany, she built a new family here. Her wit, her integrity, her friendship, her advise, and her spirit, all live on within each and every one of us. From all of us who have had the privilege of being a part of her family, one last time we raise our wine glass to Annie and say "Prost!" We will miss you.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Anne M. Jones to the YWCA of Pierce County at https://ywcapiercecounty.org/give-back/
