Anna Marie Bergin's Obituary
Anna Marie was born in Topeka, Kansas on August 17, 1919 and died peacefully on September 7, 2011 in her Lakewood home. She had lived in Lakewood for more than 50 years.
Anna Marie graduated from St. Mary's College in Leavenworth, Kansas, taught school for a short time and began her real career as an Air Force wife and mother of five children. Anna Marie enjoyed her children, Girl Scouting and flowers. She was a Master Gardener.
Her husband, Joseph A. Bergin, and her son, Joe W. Bergin, proceeded Anna Marie in death. Four daughters survive her: Marjorie Thatcher of Edmonds, Helen Carlson of Lakebay, Rosemary Ballard of Lakewood and Mary Pat Bergin-Sperry of Lakewood, as well as her sister, Regina Conroy of Virginia. In addition to her five children, Anna Marie was the proud grandmother of 10 young adults and 8 great grand children.
All will miss her.
Family services were held at Calvary Cemetery and donations in Anna Marie's name may be made to the Lakewood /University Place Fire Department.
