Anna M. Musick's Obituary
Anna M. Musick, 85 passed away on Monday, June 20, 2005 at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, Arizona. She was born March 11, 1920 near Phillipsburg, Missouri to Harvey Clinton Shaffer and Stella Margaret Lively Shaffer.Anna was employed as a housekeeper, maid, bread wrapper, seamstress and computer operator. She retired as a computer specialist from General Services Administration, GSA, in Auburn, Washington after 26 years of working for the federal government at Mt. Rainier Ordnance Depot and GSA.At age 2, AnnaÂ's father passed away and her mother and four sisters moved in with Grandpa and Grandma Lively, near Linden, Iowa. When Anna was 4, her mother married Walter Parker and they moved near Panora, Iowa where she attended Franklin School. In 1930 they moved to a farm near Pequot Lakes, Minnesota where Anna graduated from high school in 1938. In 1936 they moved from the farm to the town of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota.In 1942 during WWII she married Anton C. Anderson in Rockford, Illinois. Anna had three children, Bonnie Jean, born in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, Merle Anton, born in Vancouver, Washington and Alfred Christ born in Tacoma, Washington.In 1967 she married Lawrence C. Musick in Tacoma, Washington. They lived near Puyallup, Washington and later near Gig Harbor, Washington on Wollochet Bay. In 1986 after ten years in RVÂ's, they moved to the Foothills near Yuma, Arizona.Anna is survived by her husband Lawrence Musick of Yuma, Arizona. Lawrence gave her much love, companionship, joy and constant care during their 38 years of marriage and her long illness. She is also survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Curtis) Larson of Spokane, Washington; sons, Merle (Elizabeth) Anderson of Spanaway, Washington, Alfred (Leslie) Anderson of Spanaway, Washington; step-daughter Jacqueline Harris of Edgewood, Washington; sisters, Lois Larson of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, Iona Pearl Anderson of Minnesota. Anna, also, leaves behind four grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.Anna was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Shaffer; mother, Stella Margaret Larson; brother Carl Clinton Shaffer; sisters, Ina June Parker and Catherine Larson; step fathers, Walter Parker and Elmer Larson; Grandparents, Frances and Luella Lively and Johnathon and Catherine Shaffer and first husband, Anton C. Anderson.Anna was loved and cherished by her children, grandchildren and many friends. She looked forward to and enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and watching them change and grow from year to year.Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 9th 2005, in the Mt. View Valley Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. S.W., Tacoma, Washington 98499.
