Ann (Rosenow) Clinton's Obituary
Ann was born in Colorado March 18,1918 and passed away peacefully Dec 6, 2014. Ann was the 2nd of of 7 children born to Henry and Lena Rosenow. Ann moved to Tacoma at age 7. She attended Lincoln HS, where she met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Bill Clinton. They married at 19 and shared 47 years together, living at Salmon Beach, on Meyers St. in Tacoma, until building their dream home in University Place in 1960, where they resided together until Bill's passing in 1983. Ann and Bill raised two loving daughters, Linda and Billie. Everyone that knew Ann knew her brilliant smile lit up the room and her zest for life; she didn't want to miss a thing.
Ann worked at Nalley's for 25 years and retired in 1980. Ann stayed very active throughout her retirement. Ann enjoyed her family and was a great cook, and we shared many family meals together. Ann enjoyed traveling , playing pinochle, and a trip to the casino! She was a charter member of Tacoma Narrows Bridge VFW Post #10018, where she served as president of the ladies auxiliary. She was a member of Tacoma eagles #3. In addition to her husband Bill, Ann was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lena, and 6 siblings. Ruben, Rachel, Martha, Helen, Lilian, and Danny.
Ann is survived by her daughters Linda Houtz (Steve) and Billie Linnell (Steve), grandchildren Debbie Houtz (Mary), Jeff Linnell (Joy), Lisa Brannon (Wayne), Cindi Walsh (Robert), and Greg Linnell (Erika), great grandchildren Savannah, Garyn, Haili, Tori, and Laurie, and by several nieces and nephews. Ann's love for her family was second to none, and she will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community for taking such great care of her the last 8 months.
Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, on Wed., Dec 10th at 11:00am in the Garden Chapel. Graveside service and reception to immediately follow.
