Angelito Abalahin's Obituary
Angelito G. Abalahin, our "Angel," was a good man. He was an incredibly selfless person always putting the needs and wants of his loved ones before his own. He was devoted to his family and to his country. He served in the U.S. Army and then in the Army National Guard for a total of 29 years. In addition, he also retired from the civil service as an Aircraft Inspector. After his "retirement," he began work with Trident Seafoods, primarily as a Quality Control Technician. During his down time he pursued his passions, island hopping in the Philippines in search of the ultimate dive site and in the hunt for the perfect seashell.
On November 10th, 2010, Angel went to join the other angels in heaven. He passed away peacefully in his own home after battling with Multiple Myeloma for the past year and a half, a cancer we believe is a result of his time in Vietnam and his exposure to Agent Orange.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in his memory to jaxonscure.org. Jaxon was his nephew whom he now joins in heaven. At only eight and a half years old Jaxon was taken from our family by Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis (SSPE), a chronic persistent infection of the central nervous system caused by the measles virus.
