Angeline Inez Yarger's Obituary
Angeline Inez Yarger
June 23, 1958 to July 26, 2014
Angeline Inez Yarger “Angie” was born on June 23, 1958 to Kenneth D. Beck, Sr. and Victoria Tidwell Beck in Abilene, Texas. She was the 5th of their 8 children. Angie spent the majority of her childhood in Tacoma, WA and graduated from Franklin Pierce High School. The majority of Angie’s professional career was spent Marsh, where she worked for over 20 years.
Angie was incredibly proud of her two sons Tony and Michael and thoroughly enjoyed being Diamonds Noni. No matter the sacrifice required, Angie did any and everything possible to make sure her boys were okay. Her love and dedication to her family was immeasurable.
Angie will always be remembered for what an incredible writer she was. She had an almost magical ability to entertain, captivate and inspire. Whether you read her blog postings or heard a speech she’d written for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Angie’s words could bring comfort on the darkest days, add humor to seemingly dismal situations and remind you that life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, but about learning to dance in the rain.
Writing wasn’t Angie’s only strong suit. She had an incredibly big heart and always made time to connect with loved ones, give advice and provide comfort when needed. She supported a variety of organizations such as Sojourner Place, Franciscan Hospice, World Vision and St. Jude’s.
When she wasn’t busy saving the world, or writing about it, she loved movies and was an avid reader. Romance novels were her favorite. She also had a flare for baking. Making pies from scratch was her specialty.
Angie was preceded in death by her Mother, Victoria Tidwell Beck, Father, Kenneth D. Beck Sr., and Brother, Kenneth D. Beck Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory: Children, Anthony L. Yarger and Michael T. Yarger (Melissa); Grand-daughter Diamond Yarger; Siblings, Jean Baker-Haynes, Joan Aker, Victoria Baker-Dorsey, Garrett T. Baker (Nancy), James A. Beck and Lisa Beck; Nieces, Debra Aker, Tamara S. Vera, Angela Baker, Megan K. Bradburry (Christopher), Cynthia Beck and Maria Beck; Nephews, Joshua Aker, Emmett V. Parker, Jr., Kenneth D. Beck III, and a host of extended relatives who love and will miss her dearly.
