I’m honestly still in shock as I write this.
Angela was someone I looked forward to seeing every time I walked into Planet Fitness in Federal Way. She always greeted me with the warmest smile, the kind that made you feel seen and welcome no matter what kind of day you were having. She wasn’t just friendly—she was genuinely kind.
One day, she invited me to her birthday dinner… just a small gathering with a few of her close friends. That moment meant more to me than she probably ever knew. I didn’t have a lot of girlfriends in my life, and for her to see me as a friend and include me—it truly touched my heart.
She would always ask about my next adventure, always excited for me because of my job in the airline industry. She’d check in about my long-distance relationship, always wanting to know how we were doing. I even got to introduce her to my boyfriend one day at the gym, and she welcomed him with that same warmth she gave everyone.
Today, as I was leaving the gym, I saw a basket and a flyer with her face on it… and my heart just dropped. Learning that she passed away back in December broke me in a way I didn’t expect. I had reached out to her a few times, not understanding why I never heard back… and now I know.
Angela was a beautiful soul with an even more beautiful heart. She left a lasting impression on me in ways I’ll never forget.
My heart goes out to her family, especially her son. She was such a proud mama, always speaking about him with so much love. I know she was so excited to see him graduate this year.
Rest in peace, Angela. You were truly special, and you will be deeply missed. 🤍
