I cannot believe this has happened. I worked with "Angelar" (as some of us in NPG shoes used to call her because of the way one of our shoe suppliers in Maine used to say Angela's name with her east coast accent. She would call up with her gruff voice, "Is Angelar there?") Anyway, I worked with Angela in NPG for about 5 years. She was the sweetest, most giving, and loving person. She always cared about how others were doing - and always remembered and followed up with their issues. She loved her Mom and Grandmother and always had cute stories to tell.
I worked with her until about 1999, before she was married. She was VERY in love with Dan and I am so happy to hear they were married and shared that happiness. I lost touch with her after I left Nordstrom but I will really miss her being gone from this world. Not to be cliche but God must have needed another angel and he surely got one with Angela.

I went to high school with Angela, and I will never forget the day we met. She was so inviting and friendly with her big brown eyes and impossibly long lashes! I came from another school district and didn't know many people. But I knew I had found a friend in Angela. We were on drill team together for two years and I have so may memories of our escapades! When I think of her now, I smile at how much fun we had and how silly we were. I will always remember her as a no-nonsense girl. She was not afraid of anything and always spoke her mind. She did what was right.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing, as were all others who knew her. It is so hard to believe. I hardly know what to say to her family, but that she was truly loved and will be truly missed.##imported-begin##Wendy Retacco##imported-end##

Angela and I went to high school together and then later I also had the priviledge of working with her at Nordstrom. Not side by side, but nonetheless always running into her and her great big smile and beautiful eyes - those amazing lashes!!! In school she was always one of my favorite people to see in the morning. She always had a huge smile for me! We had so many good talks, so many laughs and fun times. She was one person I always felt I should have been closer to after high school.. but for some reason or another it never came to be (other than our run-ins at Nordstrom and e-mails). Those times always meant so much to me. It was like no time had passed other than the fact we were comparing notes on husbands and babies!!! She was by far and above one of the most special people I have ever had the honor of knowing. She was so sweet and so loyal and so much fun to be around. I will never forget her.
The service was absolutely beautiful. She must be so proud! The music will touch my heart whenever I hear it... always reminding me of that beautiful girl I had the priviledge of knowing. I pray that God will bless and keep her close and that her family, with each passing day, will grow stronger and that the pain will soon fade away and only happy memories remain. I am so very sorry for your loss. I will miss her dearly. As she wrote in my yearbook at the end of each year- Love ya always.=) And I will.

Angela and I worked side by side for 8 years. No matter what had to be done or how short the deadline was, she always came through and managed to do it with that incredible smile of hers. There were times that I tried to be grumpy and then she would hit me with that smile and mess up my plan. Angela was such a huge help to me. I depended on her for everything and I was pretty helpless when she would go on vacation. We worked so closely together that she could read my mind. I would start a sentence and she would finish it. She was exceptionally good at her job.
We were able to see Angela really blossom over the years, both in her job and in her personal life. I remember how excited she was when she first met Dan. She was over the moon excited when they were married and then again when
little Olivia arrived. We watched her develop from a young woman into the perfect wife and mother.
Everyone has an Angela story. The one that occurs to me is the time that she wanted to schedule a meeting for us to talk. She emailed me (from the other side of the wall) to set up the time. She wanted to take on more responsibility in her job and she wanted to discuss a raise. When the time came, she marched into my office and shut the door. We all know that Angela was very emotional. She was so nervous (I didn't know that I was so scary!) that she was actually trembling. After a while, the nervousness got to her and I saw tears starting to well up in her eyes. By the time we finished talking, I was almost ready to cry myself. We ended our meeting with a hug. By the way, she got the raise!
To Dan, Olivia and Heather, there are no words that are sufficient to ease your sorrow. There is no way to understand or make sense of
your loss. I hope that you will take some comfort in knowing that Angela was genuinely loved by so many people and we all miss her so much. We can look forward to the time when all of us who loved Angela will be able to see her again.

I had the wonderful priviledge to work with Angela for four years in NPG footwear division. She was amazing and always so happy.
We had many shopping excursions together, both drove white VW convertibles, and went to many outdoors restaurants after work when we could sit outside and soak up the rays while we chatted about life.
I must say she was so proud of her mom Heather. I heard many stories about times they had together, and developed a deep respect and love for her mom without even knowing her. When I finally did get to meet Heather I could see she really was a super mom and could see where Angela got her personality from.
I became friends with Angela after her and Dan were already married, but I was always so impressed by how much they truly were in love. Angela would speak of Dan with a glimmer in her eye. She loved eveything about him and it showed when they were together. The pictures of them together can tell many happy and beautiful stories.
My favorite memory is one day after work we went home to her apartment in Eastlake, cranked up the tunes, and danced all over the living room. When Dan got home from work he could hear the music from outdside, he caught a glimpse of Ang dancing around and wondered what in the world was going on. We were going to buy a strobe light for future dance sessions.
This is so hard to write this because it does not seem possible anything has happened to her. She was so full of life and we all are going to miss her so much. Dan's brother did such a remarkable job speaking at the service. He truly touched on all most important points and there was not a dry eye in the place.
Olivia is such a beautiful little girl. Angela was so proud of her and I hope Olivia grows up to be just like her Mama.
I better close now but hold Angela close to my heart forever.
