Angela Ignacio's Obituary
Mrs. Angela “Angie” Ignacio was born July 4, 1949 in Wahiawa, Hawaii to the late Emiliana and Ignacio Nugal. She was the youngest of seven children. On January 4, 1968 she was united in holy matrimony to her longtime sweetheart and love, Rudy Ignacio. She was a strong and devoted military wife for 52 loving years. Together they raised 3 children and moved to Washington State in 1983. She quietly passed away on November 8, 2019 in her home of 31 years in Lakewood, Washington. Angie was a loyal and dedicated worker with the Department of Defense for over 30 years. She then worked with the Washington State Department of Corrections for an additional 4 years before fully retiring. Friends and family, especially her grandchildren were her passion and delight. When she was not taking care of her family, she shared her love with crafting, shopping, music, hula, food, and all things Hawaiian. As a result of her generous spirit, and pleasant personality, many loved her. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She was a devout Catholic, fun loving wife and mother, who always gave her time and heart. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished. Survivors include her three children, Joey (France) Ignacio of Lakewood, WA, Jina Ignacio (Mick) of Lakewood, WA, Julisa (Salue) Lek of Bellevue, WA; grandsons Korey Michael Boushack, Donovan Lek, Keoli Ignacio, Nathaniel Lek; granddaughter Lilienne Lek; sisters Mary Ann Samson, Erlinda “Linda” Fields; Brothers Virgilio “Ben” Nugal (Carol), Alejandro “Ampot” Nugal (Linda Lou), Warlino “Walang” Nugal and several of other loving relatives and close friends.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park in the Celebration of Life Center - Aspen Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA, 98499.
