Angel Rabadon Vano's Obituary
Angel R. Vano has now joined in the kingdom with our Lord. He peacefully died on March 28, 2017 at 7:20am surrounded by his family. He was born on October 2, 1934 in Ginatilan, town located south of Cebu, Philippines. He is survived by his loving wife, Ester of 53 years, with two children his son Paul Angel Vano with wife Kim; daughter Gemma Vano Croley with husband John; and two wonderful grandchildren, Paul Isaiah and Pia Isabella.
He loved photography and videography. He enjoyed sharing his memories and experiences through photos and videos. He was always capturing special moments. As he calls it, these will be appreciated by generations to come.
In his earlier years, he worked in Malaysia as a technician. He enjoyed different cultures. His most memorable trip was going to Jerusalem, Israel with wife Ester and daughter Gemma. He and his family migrated to Tacoma, Washington in 1984. In Tacoma, he worked at AAFES Distribution Center where he made many friends. After retiring his post, he joined SeaTac International Airport as a skycap where his command and fluency in Chinese was put to great use as a translator. He met and greeted different people from all parts of the world. And, he treated them all with kindness and care.
His unconditional love of family and faith persevered life to the fullest. His smile, hospitality and servitude towards his family, relatives, and friends will certainly be missed.
Services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven in Spanaway on April 8, 2017 at 11:00/AM PST with his final resting place in Samboan, Cebu.
