Andrew Munro's Obituary
Andrew Munro, age 93, went to heaven on November 23, 2018. He was born January 4, 1925, grew up in Old Town Tacoma, and graduated from Stadium High School. He entered the Navy and was discharged honorably on November 11, 1945.
He married our mother, Beverly Jean and were together for over 25 years until she passed away in 1971. He worked at Dickman Lumber and retired from Coast Sash and Door. He later married Nancy Wassman in 1973.
Our dad lived life to the fullest. He belonged to the Elks, Eagles, Slavonian Hall, and various dance clubs. Dad loved to golf and volunteered at the VA golf course for many years. He was an avid reader and loved to play cards with his friends. Dad loved our weekly coffee dates and family dinners. His favorite thing to do was to joke around and tease. He was funny, gruff, hardworking, and a very loyal and honest person. He is survived by his children Sandi (Steve) Paul; Andy (Fran) Munro; Wife Nancy (Munro); Step-son Larry (Jackie) Wassman; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and sister Barbara Brown. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl (Dan Perkins).
Please help us celebrate on Saturday, December 15th, 2018 at 1:00 PM, Mountain View Funeral Home; Aspen Chapel; with a reception following in the Willow Room.
