Andrew Joseph Tartella's Obituary
Andrew J. Tartella was born April 9, 1952 in Scranton, PA, and passed away November 15, 2012 in Lakewood, WA. He served in the U.S. Army from 1981-1984 and was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA. Andrew graduated from West Scranton H.S. in Scranton and earned a B.A. and M.A. in Public Administration from Evergreen University. He was employed as a Medicare rep trainer for Health and Human Services.
Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Tartella; mother, Mary J. Armitage Tartella; and his brother, John Tartella (COL, RET). He is survived by three brothers, Vincent of Scranton, PA; Francis of Dunmore, PA; and James (Eleanor) of Scranton, PA; sister-in-law Carol Ann Tartella of Carlisle, PA; and son John Andrew of Springfield, VA; his life partner, Beverly J., whom he met in December 1982 while serving in the Army at Fort Lewis.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Stand Up To Cancer, File 1224, 1801 W. Olympic Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91199-1224.
