Andrea Garcia's Obituary
On the evening of January 22, 2024, our dear matriarch Andrea Garcia passed away as she slept peacefully at home in Lakewood, Washington. Andrea was 85years old.
Andrea was born on Jan 6,1939, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico to parents Tomas Fernandez and Carmen Concepcion. Andrea was the third oldest out of 9 siblings. She leaves behind her sisters Modesta Roland, Julia Fernandez and one remaining brother Jose Antonio Fernandez.
Andrea had lived most of her life in between Virginia and in the state of Washington. In Virginia, Andrea met her very 1st best friend named Barbara Martin. and they both loved each very much. Andrea left Virginia and moved to Lakewood, Washington to be close to her kids.
Andrea raised 9 kids and 1 grandchild as single parent by working odd jobs; She worked as a factory worker, a nurse's aide and last work she had was as a housekeeper in a nursing home. There was no job she would not do to provide for her family as best as she could. Andrea was a heck of a woman to impress but a mother, a grandmother, great grandmother that would do anything for her kids.
Andrea was predeceased by her son Luis Angel Serrano, and 2 daughters Evelyn Serrano and Margie Serrano. She leaves behind her oldest son Juan De Dios Serrano Garcia (wife, Alicia Serrano) oldest grand-daughter Luz Serrano-Martin, son, Manuel Jesus Amador, Jose Amador, daughters, Jeannette Amador and Jasmine Amador (husband, Shane Tunstall),
Andrea was blessed with 18 grandchildren, and approximately 6-7 great grandchildren.
