Anastasia Cox's Obituary
Anastasia Cox, born in Manssila, Finland, passed away peacefully in Tacoma, Washington, at the age of 94. A true adventurer, Anastasia spent her early years traveling the world—from Finland to Stockholm and Canada. Her beloved husband, Delbert, whom she met at the Commonwealth Games, dedicated over two decades in the Air Force which allowed them to continue a life of traveling and worldly experiences, before finally settling in Tacoma.
She was known for her creativity and generosity, with passions that included baking, sewing, and crocheting. Her wedding and anniversary cakes became a local favorite, and she lovingly crafted afghan’s for veterans in her spare time. Anastasia also enjoyed making beautiful flower arrangements that brightened many homes and celebrations.
She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert, two brothers, two sisters, and her daughter Linda. She is survived by one daughter, one son, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews across Finland, Canada, and the U.S.
Anastasia will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her warmth, talent, and adventurous spirit.
