Amy Marie Hostetter's Obituary
Amy Marie Hostetter, age 86, went to be with her Lord on July 17, 2006. Her entire life was devoted to serving Jesus. A life long member of Life Center Assembly of God Church. Amy was also a former resident of Life Manor. She was the kind of woman that was loved by all, because she really cared about everyone around her, which was evident in how she lived her life.Amy was born April 1, 1920 to Berthine and Olaf Anderson in Tacoma, Washington. She graduated from Stadium High School in 1938. Amy lived in Tacoma, Washington most of her life except for a brief time in Seattle. Amy was employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Tacoma for 35 years, where she was a Senior Clerk and Retired Veteran.Amy is survived by her dearest and only daughter, Sharon Wortman Feroglia (Gary) ofSeattle, Washington, 2 grandchildren Michelle Turner (Rick) of Snoqualmie,Washington, and Brock Wortman (Megan) of Denver, Colorado, and 3 great- granddaughters, Scout, Maggie, Kathleen, and also several nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She is survived by her brother Charles Anderson (Ruth) of Edmonds, Washington and a sister Olive Nyberg of Yakima, Washington. A sister Evelyn Holford of Santa Maria, California preceded her in death.The family expresses sincere appreciation to Dr. K. David McCowen and the nurses, and staff of Park Rose Care Center of Tacoma for their compassion and loving care.A memorial celebration will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Life Center Church, 18th & South Union, Tacoma, WA. A private graveside service precedes the memorial service at 10:30am on Saturday morning, July 22, 2006 at Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park.Because Amy loved children so very much, memorials may be made to Life Christian School & Academy, 1717 South Union, Tacoma, WA 98406.
