Amelia Cunningham's Obituary
Amelia Cunningham Passed away January 17, 2012 at the grand age of 94. She was born April 20, 1917 in Tacoma to Conrad and Elizabeth Miller, who had migrated here from Kolb, Russia. Predeceased by her parents, husband Linn Cunningham, brother Conrad Miller, Jr., and sister Rachel Shaw, she graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma and met her husband Linn while his Navy ship was anchored here. Spunk, spirit, and a warm, quirky sense of humor not only captured her husband, but everyone she met. Being a military wife brought her much joy and a life full of friendships and non-stop life experiences. Amelia is survived by her children Jackie Sinclair and Darrell Cunningham, her four grandchildren, Scott Sinclair, Marc Sinclair, Dana Sinclair (Missel), and Joshua Cunningham, and her great-grandson Alex Missel. Celebration of Amelia's life will be held at 2pm Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 in the Mountain View Garden Chapel, with a reception to follow at the Celebration of Life Center, Oak Room. Remembrances to Jamie's Heart Foundation or a charity of your choosing would be appreciated.
