Alvin Moore was born on June 21, 1937 to the late C.L. Moore and Ardell Carter Moore in Alma, Alabama.Upon leaving Alabama in 1957 Alvin settled in Chicago and remained there until 1981. He moved to Tacoma, Washington and for eighteen years was a owner/operator of Ponders Taxi Company.Alvin is preceded in death by one sister Emily Moore-Hill-Curtis and one nephew Lovice A. Hill.Alvin is survived by two brothers Oneal Moore and R.C. Moore; one sister Ida Moore; nephews Leonardo Hill, Clifford G. Hill Jr. Earnest C. Hill, Glenver J. Keith; nieces Emily A. Hill-Tuggle and Gladys Moore-Davis of Mobile, Alabama, Latonya and Casandra Moore and a host of relatives and friends.Visitation begins Sun., Jan. 5th 12 Noon to 9 P.M. at Mt. View Funeral Home. Services are 2 P.M. Mon., Jan. 6, 2003 in the Mt View Garden Chapel.
