My condolescences to Al's family. Thank you for sharing Al with me and our club members. He will surely be missed. He was such a nice man. He seemed to always have a smile on his face. He spoke with such enthuiasm when he shared his stories at our club meetings on display topics.

I'm sure I'm not the only man that Al had a profound impact on. He showed me what it was to be a man firm in his walk with our Lord and Savior. He was there to guide and support me in a difficult time in my life and supported me through out.
Always encouraging me but not hesitant to "tell it like it is". A true friend & mentor.
I remember being at his home to help with some floor covering work and he came out of his shop and gave me a hammer that he had, insisting that I have it. I treasure that hammer to this day and understand the significance that that tool has in our lives. His Lord was a carpenter. Al was a builder. A builder of love, character, faithfulness,
Thank you Al...........Gob Bless you and your family & love ones ......See you
We are praying for you. We will continue to pray for you in the days ahead. How wonderful to know that he is now with the Lord, but I know he leaves a big void here on earth.

Al was a mentor to me as a young boy and throughout my Adult life at Calvary. He was always someone I looked up to and respected greatly. He'll always have a special place in my Heart. He was a warm, loving and patient man. I look forward to seeing him again someday. Rob Shadle
Al displayed a remarkable Christlike attitude. He served His Lord, family, church, and community with love and faithfulness. His love for Phyllis was an inspiration. His devotion to Christ, his wife, family, church was an example to us all. Al's involvement in the Pacific Northwest Association was profound, assisting in "New Churches, New Life." Don & Narda Burnett, Evergreen Community Church, Renton, WA.
Al was such an encouragement to us when we came to CBC with a young family. He always pointed us to the Savior for all our needs. A tremendous role model, humble and deeply spiritual, he was in love with Jesus. I remember how impressed I was when he went to Africa on a missions trip. He always walked in simple obedience to the Lord. I am praying for his family, for God's overwhelming comfort and peace.
Going to miss this sweet, sweet man who treated me as a member of the family when I didn't have one of my own close by. May you rest in peace. Much love to all the family.
Al was always the man in the shadows, doing the work behind the scenes at church. He faced his illness with bravery and quiet confidence. We'll miss his quiet witness.
