Aloys R. Wegleitner's Obituary
Born September 6, 1947, passed away September 30, 2005, at Franciscan Care Hospice House. Preceded in death by parents Frank and Irene Wegleitner; brothers John, Amos, Frances and Jared Wegleitner, of Lake City, SD.Al is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Janis; sons Frank (Kerri) Wegleitner of Puyallup, WA and Ron (Holly) Wegleitner of Steilacoom, WA; grandchildren Samantha, Alissa, Griffin, Johnathan and Kaitlyn; brothers Herman (Karen) Wegleitner of Sisseton, SD, Stanley (Grace) Wegleitner of Britton, SD, and James (Kathy) Wegleitner, of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by sisters Donna Allen, Marion Steiner, both of Lake City, ND, and Vivian (Elmer) Steiner of Eden, SD; as well as sister and brother-in-law Judy and Ken Mensching; many nieces, nephews, and friends.Al came to Tacoma in 1967 to serve in the US Army, where he met his wife, after serving in Germany and Vietnam. Al worked for Pat Boring Landscaping for 34 years. He loved being outdoors with his family. Camping, hunting, and fishing were all family affairs. He enjoyed taking the grandchildren walking, to play in the park, and to Friday morning garage sales.Al always gave from the heart and wanted nothing in return. He will be sorely missed, but not forgotten, by all who knew him.The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Franciscan Hospice House for their love and support during his stay.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2005, in the Mountain View Garden Chapel, Pastor Kim Hastings of Eastside Christian Church presiding.Pall bearers will be Kenneth Mensching Jr, Dony Mensching, Brian Mensching, Robert Spencer, Aaron Leonard, and Charles Baxter Jr.
