Allen Dwayne Jones' Obituary
Allen Dwayne Jones passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2009. Al was born in Tacoma on August 12, 1928 and graduated from Clover Park High School in 1946. After high school, Al served our nation as a Navy Seabee from 1948 to 1953 when he was honorably discharged after serving in the Philippine Islands. Al married Betty Garner in 1950 after serving in the Seabees; they were married 33 years. Al owned Lakewood Electric and joined the IBEW local 76 where he spent his career as a journeyman wireman. Al finished his career with Olympia Electric where he worked as an estimator and a superintendent. In 2000, Al married Olga Millar Jones. Al had a great many friends and he lived life to the fullest. He was an active member of the VFW post 969.
Al was preceded in death by his mother and father Allen and Lena Jones and his son Douglas Allen Jones. Al is survived by his wife Olga, his son Michael and his wife Marilyn Jones, Mark Jones, Bruce and his wife Chrissy Jones and step-daughter Karen Brown, sister and brother-in-law Donna and Bill Floss and their children Debbie, Janet, and Jimmy. He is also survived by an extended family.
