Allen Dean Bracy's Obituary
Allen passed away on November 24th, 2023, in Tacoma, WA to Join his One and Only Love Joyce Bracy.
After graduating from Olympia High school, He was drafted by the Army in 1964 to 1966. Spending a year in Korea as a supply tech.
He worked at Georgia Pacific for 22 years, and then moved onto Lundgren Dealers and Ply Tac as a warehouse Foreman before retiring.
Joyce graduated from Ballard High in Seattle, WA and started her family with April and Joe. She worked as a candy stripper and nursing assistant at a local hospital. She also modeled at a local Seattle Bath house and waitressed at a variety of places over the years. Al and Joyce met in 1967 and as they would say the rest is history.
Al and Joyce were married for 46 years before Joyce passed on August 12th, 2019, In Tacoma, WA. In that time Al enjoy is his passion of being an outdoorsman that included hunting, fishing, and camping. However, Hunting deer and bucks were his favorite and enjoying the time he had out in the woods with his parents, siblings and eventually his son Dennis, Grandsons Devin, and Ethan and Ethan's Dad Dustin. Many memories were made and will not be forgotten.
Joyce became a stay-at-home Mom and blessed their family with 3 more children Dennis, Angie, and Denise. Joyce was a Jack of all trades. She loved helping other families in the neighbor where she could, whether it was babysitting, yard projects for elderly neighbors, or taking them groceries. She was blessed by her many friends as much as she had blessed them. she volunteered at the children's schools as a teacher assistant. volunteering her sewing skill for sewing patches on High school band outfits, to running a penny drive festival at the East side boy's club that the children spent their time at.
In their later years, they would enjoy the abundance of grandchildren that would come visit, they would spoil them with back yard pools in the summer, shower them with gifts for their birthdays and the holidays. They also enjoyed working in the back yard on their own garden projects growing tomatoes, pumpkins, and flowers and feeding the wildlife that would come visit. Al's deck projects and woodwork in the garage.
Al and Joyce leave behind 5 children, many grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 2 remaining siblings, Diane Taylor and Paul Bracy. They are proceeded in death by Joyce's sister Dorothey Carlsen and Al's brother Michal Hart.
In lie of flowers donations to St. Jude Children"s Hospital are appreciated.
