Al was a remarkable man. He loved our mother and made her life better. We are very grateful and honored to have known Al.
He also had a passion for model trains, which brought great joy to his life.
Al will be missed and will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

I will miss my Uncle Al. He was such a big part of my childhood and adult life. Lots of wonderful memories of potlucks, holidays, camping, movies and ballgames. I loved listening to his stories of his childhood, work and volunteer experiences over his lifetime. He loved talking about growing up in the Midland area and how it look back then. I'd share the genealogy information that I got and he would add different things. When I lived in Westport he would bring his little dog, Misty and visit for the day. He loved looking at all the old documents for our family that I had preserved. Looking at them, he would bring up different stories of the past. When I moved back to Tacoma I started taking him to the Mid County Senior Center on Wednesday's for lunch. He would call me each Tuesday to be sure we were going. He enjoyed socializing and spending time together. I feel a little lost without our Wednesday lunch dates. You will be greatly missed and you will always bring a smile to my face. Rest in peace my sweet Uncle Al.
Dad you will be missed deeply. As your child guiding threw childhood. As an adult and helping guide my child threw it. The many 4th of July and Christmas holidays when you would take your train trips and come for a visit. Know that you will forever be in my heart and will never be forgotten.
