Uncle Jiggs, The mold was broke when you were made, not another one like you. I, too enjoyed the visit Mom (Betty Adams) and I had with you. I will miss hearing you talk about working on the hayfield with your sister and Bert Jr. your brother. Anyone who heard you do your train whistle will never forget it and neither will I. For some unknown reason my grandson, Brady, is fascinated with trains. Lol. I am so glad you met and married Doris, you were made for each other. I know she and her family will miss you dearly, as well as your family and everyone who knew you.
Doris, Thank you for loving and taking care of him, you are the BEST! Love, Sherry##imported-begin##Sherry Fox, Niece##imported-end##

I visited my brother in September of last year for a week and we had such a good time talking about old times. I remember when we were kids we both was riding a horse bareback together and pig scared our horse. we both fell off and here our mother come running wanting to know if we were hurt. I said no and Allan said no wonder she fell on me and we got a bigh laugh out of it. We both worked on the hayfield when were young and when Allan wasn't cutting hay he would hook the spark plug on his tractor to water barrel and shock the hands that was working when they got a drink of water. He though that was so funny. I am not able to come to funeral but he will be missed by me as he was the only person of my family I had left. He could whistle like a train and it sounded like a real train. I loved him so. I am so glad he had such a wonderful family in Washington that look after him with great care and love. My love goes out to them and his wife Doris##imported-begin##Betty Adams Poteau, Oklahoma##imported-end##
To those of you who don't know me I am Betty Jean, Sam's youngest daughter, due to health issues I cannot be there at this time but my heart is with all of you especially his family there who loved him and took such good care of him. We all have lost a wonderful person. He was the best of the best....always happy and smiling and always a kind and pleasant word for all. I remember the time he took me fishing when I was a little girl and I caught this big fish and it was so big I couldnt reel it in but my daddy got it in and actually it was so little that when he pulled really hard it flew out of the water and landed right on my head and he laughed like it was the funniest thing he ever saw and to this day when I fish I still won't touch them but I always think of my dad. I just keep thinking if I could hear his train whistle just one more time or one more hug or one more I love you but I also know he is in a better place now. And just a reminder to all his family and friends thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for being there for him and with him.....may God bless all of you....love Jeanie, Brandy, Billy and David##imported-begin##Betty Guinn (Thornton)##imported-end##
