Maggie Miller
My name is Maggie Miller, and I was Alice's aerobic instructor for many, many, MANY years. We loved each other very much. I'd pick her up from home and take her with me to aerobics, and it didn't matter if it was out of my way or not. A blind woman in aerobics you say? She could lead the class, and did, if needed a break. She stepped exactly how I told her and the rest of the class to step. If someone didn't understand me, they'd look at her to catch up. You had to be a tough broad if you had to get through this life blind.
She did tell me once that she'd rather be blind than deaf. Hands down. She had very, very strong opinions but then, so do I, (our birthdays are 4 days apart) which made for quite the "hardy" discussion time and time again. We've lost touch these past 4 years, but I've never stopped thinking and dreaming about her. She never thought she'd see 80, and didn't want to. Yet she almost made it to 90. She must have put her foot down. Thank you Alice for many, many years together. Alice loved a good time, and that's exactly what we had. Love You Alice.
