Alice Louise Bentley's Obituary
ALICE LOUISE BENTLEYAlice Louise Bentley, 85, went home to be with her Savior on Oct. 1, 2002. She was born Alice Wight in Westwood, CA on Jan. 16, 1917 and moved to Gig Harbor, WA at age 3, where she grew up. Alice graduated from Gig Harbor Union High School, then attended Northwest Bible Institute. After graduation, she was ordained and pastured in Artendale, WA. At age 33, Alice married Milton Henry Bentley. They had three children, Mary Louise, David Milton, and Daniel Stephen. After Milton retired Alice went back to school and earned a certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at St. JosephÂ's Hospital until she retired. Alice was a caregiver her whole life whether as pastor, wife, mother, or nurse. After retirement, Alice moved to Life Manor where she lived until her death. She is survived by her daughter Mary (Bentley) Chambers and son Daniel Bentley, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her brother Ernest Wight, and two sisters Villa Severtsen, and Edith Wight. Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 5th, 2002, at 2:00PM, at Life Center, where Alice attended for over 50 years. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. 584-0252.
