Alice M. Bilyeu's Obituary
Alice M. Bilyeu, formerly of Tacoma, WA, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 in La Pine, OR at the age of 97. Alice was born on September 4, 1919 in Custer, SD to Howard and Pearl (Harris) Benton. She married William N. Bilyeu on October 17, 1936 in Custer. They were blessed with five children, and raised them all on a farm in Britton, SD. Their last move was to Tacoma, WA in 1962. She worked for Nordstrom's for fifteen years as their Alteration Manager, and then after retirement continued doing alterations from home. Alice attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tacoma. She enjoyed passing the time with crewel embroidery and crocheting blankets for grand- and great-grandchildren.
Alice is survived by two children, Bonnie (husband Larry) Voliva of La Pine, OR, and Mervin (wife Laura) Bilyeu of Arvada, CO; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, three children, and her parents.

A Memorial Service for Alice will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the Aspen Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
