Alice Wade, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend passed peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, Washington following complications from a spinal fracture. Alice was 89 years of age and went to her re Read Obituary

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Alice. Among our fond memories were the times we would hear Alice and Dorothy talking and laughing late into the night.
We enjoyed every opportunity we had to spend time with Alice. She was a special lady and we will miss her.

She gave our family so much strength in dealing with the loss of Dorothy 10 years ago.
She had a laugh that was infectious. She will hold a special place in our hearts forever.

I met Alice while working for her podiatrist. She and I became friends and shared many stories. In talking we discovered that she knew my in laws many many years ago. She even brought pictures of my husband and his family, including uncles and the dog, that she had taken on Redondo Beach. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. She had a good long life and from what I knew of her she was loved by all.
Please accept my condolences on her passing and know that she is remembered with love and laughter.

I have known Alice for many years as a devoted TOPS member. She loved going to TOPS and being a KOPS (One who has taken the weight off and keeping it off). She was a delight at the meetings and hated to miss a week. I know I speak for all her TOPS family in saying we love you Alice and will miss you dearly. Dear Daniel, Byron and families,
Although we have not had the opportunity to spend a great deal of time together through the years, the moments we have connected have been good. Your mom has always been so kind and encouraging whenever we've been with her at the Putz family picnics, especially. I hope that you guys can stay connected to us in time to come.
I know you realize that you have a wonderful heritage. Because of his work responsibilities, we never got to know your dad very well, but growing up and, later, visiting the Martin area has given us a hard-wired connection to your mom's side of the family. I can say without reservation that your grandfather and grandmother (my uncle and aunt), Helmut & Mary Eckart, were wonderful people. The love of family, care for the needy and commitment to service has leaked into the lives of all of their children, your mother, included. I believe that the foundation of these qualities comes from a faith in Jesus Christ, who said, "Come to me all who are weary and loaded down, and I will give you rest."
We will continue to pray for your comfort and strength in this time of loss. Having lost all four of our parents, we know the vacuum that is left by their absence. Yet, there is great hope. For all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, heaven and reunion is waiting.
