Alfred R. French's Obituary
Alfred R. French passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 in Tacoma, his home for last 49 years. Born in Gulfport, MS on October 21, 1925, to Alfred and Zula French, he was raised with his sister Noma (Mays), who now lives in Memphis, TN.Al proudly served his country for twenty years and was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. While stationed overseas he met and married Betty, who became his loving wife for over 50 years. He retired from the US Air Force in 1968. He later retired from Glaxo Smith Kline in 1987.He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Al is survived by his wife Betty, daughters Kathleen Gallier (Larry) and Tammy French (Michael Coleman) and six grandchildren Andrea, Will, Peter, Natalie, Cole and Sam.Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm, Monday, June 26, 2006 at the Mountain View Funeral Home, Celebration of Life Center, Aspen Chapel.
