Alfred Clinton Norris
Alfred Clinton Norris, 86 of Puyallup passed away peacefully July 29th, 2016. Born on January 17th, 1930 to Asa and Sarah Norris in Pacific Beach, WA, Alfred was a retired Millwright and traveled with the Merchant Marines in his early years. Alfred is survived by his wife of 65 years, Doris Norris. He is also survived by his sisters Della Allen of Tacoma, WA Betty Lemon (Leland), of WV, Shirley Steele (Hal) of CA, his daughter Donna Williams (Vern) of Puyallup, granddaughter’s Stacy Gadberry (David), Lisa Barber (George), 4 great grandchildren (Reese, Brayden, Lillian and Amara)and many family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Robert Norris and his sister Barbara Earsley. Alfred attended Clover Creek Elementary and Puyallup High School. After his travels with the Merchant Marines he came home to meet the love of his life, Doris and began a 65 year adventure filled journey together. He spent all of his life in the Puyallup area. Alfred was a hardworking man who loved all of the outdoor adventures the Northwest provides, camping, fishing, clamming, crabbing, hunting, boating and much more. He also loved traveling to California, Arizona, West Virgina and vacationing in Hawaii. He adored all of his grandchildren and never missed the opportunity to be with family.
