Alfred LeBlanc Jr.'s Obituary
Al LeBlanc passed away suddenly at home on May 18, 2013. He was the son of Alfred R & Margaret LeBlanc (and the #2 son of Jordy & Maxine Hungerford). He was a lifelong resident of Tacoma and a graduate of Lincoln HS 1966. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a lifetime member of the Elks. He retired from the Lakehaven Utility District.
Al enjoyed hunting, traveling with Janne, ’57 Chevys, working on cars and house projects, cooking dinner for family gatherings, and Saturday night poker games. He took pride in his Scottish heritage, maintained contact with the Scottish relatives, and owned several kilts that he proudly wore. Annual visits to the Highland Games were a must. While in high school, he was a member of the Sea Scouts, and at age 16 traveled on the Navy ship, U.S.S. Breckenridge to Japan.
He was the King of the Remote, enjoyed collecting; particularly books, ’57 Chevy memorabilia and anything eagle related.
He was the loving husband of Janne and father of Vicki (Wilfred) Saucedo, Fred, Tamara (Dorian) Young, and Carmen (Curtis) Urban, his Westie children; Felize, Navidad, Jack & Jill. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, brother Gordy, sister Patty, many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
He will be greatly missed.
