Alexander Melovidoff's Obituary
Alexander S. Melovidoff. Oct. 10 1924 to Mar. 23 2011. Alex was born in Lawrence, Kansas to Alexander and Nancy Melovidoff. He graduated from Stadium High School in 1942. Alex served his country as a B-24 bomber pilot in WWII and was shot down over the German Alps where he was taken prisoner of war until liberated in May of 1945. In 1950 he graduated from the UW with a degree in economics. Following a dedicated 21 years of service to the Boeing company, Alex retired in 1987. Loving husband of 30 years to Elisabeth and father to Gayle, Greg, Terry, Michelle and Scott. Grandfather to Alexandra, Tristan and Aidan. You loved us and we will always love you. Memorial services on Monday March 28, 2011 in the Mountain View Garden Chapel at 1:00 pm, followed by a graveside service. Donations can be made to www.mercycorps.org in Alex's name.
