Albina Mary Patterson's Obituary
Albina “Bini” Patterson
On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, Albina “Bini” Patterson passed away at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose M. Romo and Silvestra Romo; her brother, Perry Jay Romo. She is survived by her sons, George Steven Patterson, III (Ashley), Joseph Matthew Patterson and Perry Robert Patterson; her sisters, Mary Ann Romo and Silvia Jo Ann Romo McDevitt; her grandson, Kellen Patterson; and her nieces and nephews.
Bini graduated from Mt. Tahoma High School in 1972 where she maintained life-long friendships and looked forward to attending her high school reunions. She was a huge Mariner’s fan and rarely missed watching a game. Her all-time favorite player was Edgar Martinez. A highlight for Bini’s “Mariner’s experience” was when she attended spring training.
Bini retired from the Tacoma Public Schools where she held different roles at Foss High School, Mann Elementary and Whitman Elementary. She was most proud of being a para-educator. Bini loved working with “her kids”.
A private ceremony, at the wishes of the family, will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, Lakewood. A celebration of Bini’s life will be held at a later time.
