Albert S. Williams Jr.'s Obituary
Albert S. Williams, Jr. was born in Phoenix, AZ on June 30,1930. He left us on Saturday, May 17,2014. Al joined the Army right out of high school and served four years. He left the Army for a short time to attend Arizona State University but as written on a note – “Homesick” for the Army. He re-entered the Army in 1953. For the next 30 years he was stationed many places while working in the medical field. While stationed at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in Denver, CO, he met and married the love of his life – Hazel Irene. They were stationed in Texas, Japan, back to Colorado. Al went to Vietnam, and last assignment at Fort Lewis until his retirement as a Sergeant Major from the Army in 1984. For the next 10 years he worked as a Department of the Army civilian at Madigan in the Allergy Clinic and with Dr. Andrade and Brown in their private practice.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister and in 2003 by his beloved Hazel. He is survived by his two daughters, a son, their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We all love you so much Dad, Daddy bear, Grandpa Al and will miss that great big smile you always had. Now you and Hazel (mother) will be together and we can just imagine the biggest smile ever on your face.
A funeral service for Al will be held at the Valley Chapel at Mountainview Memorial Park and Funeral Home, located at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA 98499, on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at 1:00pm.
