Albert William "AL" Webb
Al slipped away on August 26, 2017 to go sailing with old Navy buddies. Born in Sacramento, California, February 17, 1934. He joined the Navy right after graduation. He served in the Navy for 25 years, 1954-1980, raising the rank of Chief Petty. Afterwards he worked in the shipyards in Bremerton, Washington. He joined Gig Harbor Eagles in 1976 where he got deeply involved, becoming president in 1979, following that he became secretary and manager for 20 years. He was a 3 years state trustee and voted into Washington State Hall of Fame in 2011. The last few years he managed, Spokane and Auburn Eagles, secretary at South Tacoma Eagles #3 Tacoma Eagles.
Al preceded his wife Carol Webb of 26 years, 1 sister from Salem, Oregon, 5 children, 3 step children, 17 grandkids, numerous great grandchildren from Maine to California. He went sailing peacefully in his sleep August 26, 2017
Visitation will be held 12:00 Noon - 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 14, 2017. Funeral services, 2:00 PM Friday, September 15, 2017 in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, followed by a reception at #3 Eagles on 49th and South Tacoma Way.
