I had the pleasure of meeting Al , years ago!! At that time I was general manager of Denny’s on Hosmer he has started come in there with the geezer brigade , they met the first Wednesday of every month, they started out as a large group and as the months went by few passed on and passed on the past until there really wasn’t enough to still get together in a group, I was blessed to meet very very strong military men it was my honor to help set up the table Al always brought flowers and Flag!! He got there early make sure everything was just perfect. I was blessed to have Al come to my wedding how do you have many pictures I’ll try to go back and post, he brought me beautiful crystal vase and glasses, I will cherish them forever and the beautiful card you gave me, I’ll touch many lives in the Denny’s community and was going to Blackbear Diner what she also touched a lot of guests hearts they always asked where I was and wanted to buy him breakfast, but as you know Al didn’t like when Guest bought his meal, even though they were just showing respect and thankful for the service that he gave to all. He would always be upset when I told him someone paid the bill, so next time when I would see him he would wear a solid black hat that way nobody knew about his service. Rest in peace Al and thank you for all the beautiful memories you gave me. Love Sandy Chase
