Albert Spencer Kalning (Bo)
Born in California May 5, 1929 to Albert and Beatrice Kalning. Passed away March 18, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Al enjoyed camping, gardening, fishing and country music but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He worked in the garment business and was president of the local union chapter. Al is survived by his loving wife Marcella of 54 years; his five children, Becki (Gary) Arnts, Barbie Strote (Craig Emig), Betti Wilson (Tim Shuckhart), Mark (Cindy) Kalning, Michael Kalning and honorary daughter Dianne Fox. He is also survived by his brother Richard Kalning, sisters Darlene Alshouse, Carol Wieler, Gay Kalning and Fay Brett; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who were the joy of his life, and numerous nieces and nephews. Al was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Whitson and brother Eugene Kalning. Viewing will begin at 9 AM on March 24th with a Rosary at 7 PM in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held March 25th at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 10 AM followed by graveside services at 11:30 AM The family suggests donations be made to Franciscan Hospice House.
