Albert M. Ponton Sr.'s Obituary
Albert M. Ponton Sr. passed away on 17 May 2020 at the age of 93. He was born in Newport News, VA to James and Mary Edith Ponton. Albert was the youngest of twelve children. He outlived his parents and siblings.
Albert served in the Army for 20 years. Serving in Japan, Germany, Korea, and Ft. Lewis, WA. Albert was a Purple Heart recipient and very proud of his service. Also retired from Civil Service at Ft. Lewis, WA and as a caregiver at an adult family home. Later on he enjoyed visiting family and friends. Buddy, his dog, kept him young and busy.
Albert is survived by his son Albert Jr. and daughter Shirley (James). Grandsons David (Ashley) and Bryan (Bridget) Buchanan. Great grandkids Elija, Maddison, and Laura. Also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and very close friends.
