Alatino Lorenzo Bolden's Obituary
From the day he was born, Alatino “Lorenzo” Bolden brought joy and laughter into the world of his parents, Eric and Lina Bolden.
Known to his mother as her miracle baby, Lorenzo was born October 19, 1996 at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma and departed this life, August 16, 2015 in Spanaway.
He grew up in Lakewood where he attended Dower Elementary, Lochburn Middle School, and Clover Park High School. The family relocated to Spanaway in 2010 where he graduated from Spanaway Lake High in June, 2015. Lorenzo was planning to attend Pierce College in the fall.
Lorenzo enjoyed playing football, but his passion was basketball. With a towering height of 6’3” and the heart of a fierce competitor, he was a standout in tournaments or competition play. While basketball was always on his mind, he also loved hanging out with his family and friends. Planning to travel to Louisville, Kentucky this week for a much anticipated family reunion, all he packed were socks and six pairs of basketball shoes.
Lorenzo leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents: Eric and Lina Bolden: 1 brother, Malcolm Bolden; all of Tacoma, Washington: 2 sisters, Erica Conley of El Paso, Texas and Mattie Bolden; all of Tacoma: 3 nieces; Shanmellyia, Anjanae, and Justine, all of El Paso, Texas; Grandparents; John and Evelyn McAfee of Tacoma; Temu and Alatino Soma of Western Samoa; 5 uncles, Donald Bolden, Quinn Carter, Robert McAfee of Louisville, Kentucky; great aunts Mary Kelcy, and Doris Jean; and Ernest and Shirley, Dan and Carlson, and a host of other extended family and friends.
Please leave condolences and memories to the tribute wall.
