Aiko Omura Gordon's Obituary
Aiko O. Gordon John 14:1-3 Her House Was Done Aiko Omura, born October 31, 1929 in Osaka, Japan, passed away peacefully at the Lakewood Healthcare Center on March 3, 2008 during a recent illness. She was a resident at LHC for 3 years, and was adored by their staff. Our family would especially like to thank the wonderful staff, both present and past, who loved and cared for her. She will be deeply missed by all. Aiko was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Gordon, February 2, 1999, whom she married on June 28, 1960. She was brave in the new life that she forged with John as she left her home country to follow and serve him for nearly 39 years. She was brave in her death as she chose to be with Jesus, and we honor her courage, sacrificial love, and resilience. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Glenda Gordon and Jinny Achey, and her three grandchildren, Tyler, Nikolas, and Johna. The viewing will be this Thursday, March 6th, at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The memorial service will be held the next day, Friday, March 7, 2008, at the Japanese Community Church of Tacoma, 12213 Pacific Avenue in Spanaway, at 1:00 p.m. A private burial is planned.
