Adolph M. Kostric's Obituary
Adolph Martin Kostric passed away on January 19, 2013 in Lakewood, WA at the age of 84. Adolph was born on June 21, 1928 and spent most of his young life in Chicago, IL. As a very early age he joined the Pan-American Steamship Line of San Francisco as a seaman. Afterwards, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. After that he served 26 years in the United States Army. After he retired from the army, he worked as an Investigative Detective at the Bremerton Naval Shipyard for 15 years. He entered retirement in 1991.
During his retirement, he was able to do some traveling with his immediate family, and members of his family in Canada. In 2006, he fulfilled a lifelong desire to visit the home of his parents in present day Slovenia. He also spent a lot of his time gardening, reading, and visiting with his children, their families, and his wife's family in Japan.
Adolph is survived by his wife of 59 years, Tomiko, their three children Susan, Robert, and Shirley, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 26, 2013 in the Mountain View Valley Chapel.
