Adeline Larson's Obituary
Adeline Larson, age 92, died peacefully at her home on February 6, 2013.
She was born November 21, 1920 to Gunder and Belle Olson on the family farm in Grace Township, rural Kempton, North Dakota. She attended a small country school, and then later graduated from Northwood High School in 1938. She was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northwood.
Married Arnold Larson in 1940, and moved to Bremerton, Washington in 1955, where she worked as a dental assistant for 17 years. Arnold died in 2002. During their 62 years together, they enjoyed trips back to North Dakota, fishing in Eastern Washington, and trips to Reno. She was proud of her Norwegian heritage and was the best Lefse maker, second only to her mother. In 2005 she re-located to Tacoma to be closer to her two children.
Adeline is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Gil) Harrington, son, Jim (Donna) Larson, three grandsons, Pete (Heidi) Harrington, James Harrington, and Lief (Jill) Larson, and two sisters, Ione Mark, of Seattle and DeLaine Mork, of Minneapolis. Her brother, Mervin Olson preceded her in death.
Adeline will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery with her husband Arnold.
