Adam Duenas Diego
December 24, 1939 - May 14, 2016
Of Lakewood was called home by our Heavenly Father at the age of 76.
Adam was born and raised in Inarajan, Guam. He graduated from George Washington High School in Mongmong, Guam. He served his country working for the Department of Defense for both the Army and Air Force (1959-1991). He later served the Department of Homeland Security working in the FEMA Logistics Cadre (1997-2016). Adam enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, softball, and was active in his church where he also served as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also was chair of the Saint Anthony Festival Chamorro Group.
Adam is survived by his wife Evelyn Cruz Diego, brother Jose Duenas Diego, sister Maria Diego Cormier, daughter Theresa Diego Moffatt (Mark), daughter Janice Diego Toney (Frankie), son Michael Adam Diego, daughter Selina Diego Zimmerman (Aaron), grandchildren Andrew Joseph Diego Toney, Terrell Lamar Toney, Vanessa Nicole Diego Moffatt, Donnell Alexander Diego, and great granddaughter Malania Renee Christine Toney.
Adam was preceded in death by his father, Enemecio S.N. Diego, his mother Regina Duenas Diego, his brothers/sisters Florence Diego San Nicolas, Agueda Diego Penaflor, Dolores Diego Meno, Francisco Duenas Diego, Joaquin Duenas Diego, Juan Duenas Diego, Margarita Diego Flores, and Manuel Duenas Diego.
Adam leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that he has opened his heart and home to.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Saint John Bosco Catholic Church
10508 112th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98498.
Rosary at 10:30 a. m. with Mass following at 11:00 a.m.
A reception will follow the Mass.
