Sergeant T. was my squad leader in Germany with Delta company 237th ENG. Bn. He was a great man with a big heart that put his stripes on the line for me when it mattered the most. Both him and his wife were so gracious to invite me and several others from our squad to a thanksgiving dinner with his family despite the fact on my very first day in Germany i tried to pick up on his wife which at that time i didn’t know was Sergeant T’s wife.. so we all had a good laugh , filled our bellies and were very grateful to have such a great leader to follow. I didn't know him very well but the couple times I got to see him when he picked Anela up from school he was always so happy and smiley.
