Eulogy for Aaron Spillman Jr. In 1972 a young American Soldier, fresh off the battlefield of Vietnam arrived in Seoul, South Korea for his newest assignment. It was here he met a local girl named Yong Sook. The two quickly fell in Read Obituary
Dad was a wonderful parent and husband to my mother. He shared the word of God with his family and helped others when he could. He will be sorely missed. Thanks for those that have paid their respects to him.
My dad was a great great man, who loved and provided for his family very well. His strong faith in Jesus Christ helped mold are minds to love one another as Christ loved even when it hurts us. He was faithful to my mom for over 40 years, served his country well in Vietnam for 28 months. Even before he died he showed no sorrow or worry about his situation which gave me great courage, he even joked alot and made us laugh, he knew he was loved and would be missed. I can honestly say knowing my dad died with dignity and character makes me so proud of him how he conducted himself, I know he was ready and happy to go home.
Though we never got to know Aaron we send our prayers and condolences to the family. May you find comfort during this time.
I have many memories of my big brother while we were growing up.....then when he came home for Mom's funeral, we had several discussions on what we believed as far as religion and the military. Ernie was a decorated solider. He went and fought I believe three tours in Vietnam because Uncle Sam sent him. When he came home on leave once, he was called a baby burner, a murderer from college kids who had gathered at the airport to protest and slander the men coming home and that was the memories they went back to continue the fight. My big brother put on a uniform, he was just 18 I believe....and he went to do what his country asked of him. I was very, very proud of him for that, so proud I tried to follow in his footsteps and joined the Air Force. I went in while Nixon was pulling them out of Vietnam. I believe after his Nam tours they sent him to South Korea where he met his sweet wife, Suki:-) One thing I do know, he loved his wife and his children with all that was in him. I hope you all know how much he loved each and every one of you. And he WILL see you in Heaven, where he will be a happy, his health will be perfect, free as a bird and loving large with all of us who follow in HIS footsteps. I bet he's dancing with Jesus right now, without a care in the world:-) God bless you all:-) You know, the only thing we take with us from this existence, according to many near death experience folks...is the love we have for mankind here....and our knowledge. As smart as Ernie is he's probably already assigned to something big:-)
I remember how proud I was of my big brother when he came home for Christmas from the service. He was all dressed up in his uniform! He went out and got me and all of us gifts! He got me, Marty, and Donnie bikes! Boy were they fun!
I'm still like that little girl that looked up to my big Brother! He was a very special person! I hope I am half the Christian he was. Till we meet up in heaven big Brother!
My favorite memory of my brother, it was my eighth birthday and I recieved the bicycle I had been wanting forever, but I didn't know how to ride it.
My big brother Erine who had his own bike held the bike for me until I learned to ride on my own, he would hold me upright and run until I did it on my own and didn't let go till I was ready.
My brother was my first playmate, being the two oldest kids in the family. We did a lot together.
I miss him and wish he had lived closer so our children could have grown together.
