I met Aaron through my husband - they had been classmates. We danced to his band at the wedding of another one of their class members, and we ended up living close to each other for a while. A group of us visited him at Good Sam, and we all marveled at his resilience and attitude. He and his attendant came to our house for dinner - that was the night someone sideswiped his car! Our first shopping trip after our son was born, we detoured to visit Aaron instead. We had him hold Chris, and I think we used his camera for pictures, all the while laughing and joking about the reaction if the baby woke up in a stranger's arms. He stopped in to visit us a few times after we moved out to Eatonville, and several years later, he recognized our son at a fund raising car wash! When he learned of my husband's sudden death, he picked up the phone and dialed that old, familiar number, and he attended the service. I was deeply touched. He stayed in touch, through Facebook from the moment of that call. He was one of a kind, and his kindness and gentleness will be missed.
