Even though we moved to Oregon we still cherish the times our family had in Thrift, where our parents became close friends. Our condolences to you from the Smith family. We were shocked to hear of your Mother's passing. Since we moved from the area a few years ago we were not aware that she had been ill.Both of your parents were wonderful neighbors to us for over 25 yrs. We had so many good times with them, Square dancing, Bunco, Camping, birthday buddies. We will miss her sweet giggle and smile. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed.

Gerri, Tom, you have my love and prayers as you walk this most difficult path. I loved meeting Ramona, she was so vibrant. It was fun seeing the resemblance between she and I, the family likeness is very strong. Having film of her square dancing at the reunion brings joy and the visiting at the park stirs up warm memories filled with laughter. She will be remembered with so much love. Kelly: Your Mom was a joy and fun to see and be around at the bowling alley. She was very well liked by everyone. She and I enjoyed sharing events of my Aunt that lived where your Mom lived. We always made it a point to see each other and say "HI! How are you today" at the bowling alley. A very NICE lady she was!!

It is so hard to say good by to people that you love just because of who they are, I know that there was not a family tie to Mona but in my heart she was family to me. She was our dear friend for almost 18 years and I will forever be thankful that God let us have her in our lives even for that short of time. I belive that she is with Ken, (we still miss his hugs), and at peace and from these last months of seeing her almost every day I do not think she was unhappy to go. God gives us all a time here and I think she was very happy with her time here and I know that her bigest fear at the last was that she would some how become a burden to thoes she loved, and this above all she did not want. Please know that there are others who share your sorrow at her loss and that you are in our prayers. Mona was a wonderful person and I will always be glad to know that she thought of us as real friends,(she was often our date for dances and would share my husband as a dance partner). She once told a friend of hers that I was her adopted daughter and you will never know how proud that made me feel and I could not love her or miss her more if it had been true.
Once again let me say that our prayers are with you all.
